All programs are FREE of charge. Unless otherwise specified, programs take place at the Salida Library, on the corner of 4th & E Streets, in Salida, Colorado.

July Events & Programs

Thursday, July 19 at 10 a.m. – Amy’s Book Club, open to everyone! My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She’s Sorry by Fredrik Backman is July’s Book Choice.

Friday, July 20 from 10 to 11:30 – Library in the Park! Kids aged 2 to 10 years old can meet us out at Alpine Park for fun crafts and reading stories.


Friday, July 20 from 1 to 3 – Game Day! Meet us in the Kids Room for fun and games. For kids in 2nd through 8th grades.


   Monday & Tuesday, July 23 & 24 at 4 p.m. – Open Chess! 5th graders up to adults are welcome at the library for some chess action.


Thursday, July 26 at 11 a.m. – The Book Bash (Middle School Book Club) meets out at Alpine Park. Book to read is ‘The House on Mango Street’ by Sandra Cisneros and ‘Wax’ by Gina DaMico.


Summer Reading Dance Party!

Thursday, July 26 from 2 to 3 p.m. (Doors open at 1:45) – End of Summer Reading Dance Party! Meet us at ‘A Church’ on the corner of 4th and D Streets.


Friday, July 27 from 1 to 3 – Game Day! Meet us in the Kids Room for fun and games. For kids in 2nd through 8th grades.

Programs by Appointment Only

Ask a Tech – Offers library patrons an opportunity to ask basic questions about their computer, mobile phone, or tablet. NOT for computer repair of configuration! If you have a question about how to add email accounts, use Word or Excel, get Internet access, or download documents this is the program for you! Contact Kristin or Drew at 539-4826 to make an appointment. Please leave your name and number and what your question is when making your appointment.

 

Writing Lab – Sign up for one-on-one help with personal essays, blogs or any other writing project. Ann Marie Swan will offer feedback and suggestions. By appointment only: please contact amswan@salidalibrary.org.
