Statement of use:

The community room is available for use consistent with the library's mission, including such purposes as education, self-improvement, cultural and charitable events, business meetings, and civic undertakings. Commercial use for the purpose of sales is not permitted.

Reservations may be made by telephone or in person and are on a first-come, first-served basis. On your meeting day, please check in and check out at the main desk. 

The meeting room may be reserved up to a year in advance. The Library Board of Trustees has claim to its regular meeting dates. Requests for long-term regular use will be considered on an individual basis.

Capacity:

50 persons.

Accessibility:

  • The meeting room and rest rooms on the main floor are fully handicapped accessible.
  • Hours: The meeting room may be used during library operating hours.
  • Furnishings: Please use the furniture and equipment with care. Thank you.

User's Liability:

The group or individual making the reservation is responsible for the actions of the users and for any damages incurred by the library as a result of their use of the room.

Conduct:

  • Consumption of alcohol or smoking is not permitted.
  • Permission is required for use of the piano.
  • Use of the meeting room may not interfere with the normal operation of the library.
  • Music and noise must be kept to a reasonable level as determined by the library staff.

Food & Beverages:

Drinks and dry snacks are allowed. Other food service requires approval and subsequent inspection of the meeting room; the group will be responsible for cleaning up the meeting room and for additional cleaning costs, if necessary.
